DIY: Foaming Hand Soap Recipe…
Today I would like to share a simple recipe for foaming hand soap. You will need the following:
3/4 cup (190ml) Distilled Water
1/4 cup ( 50ml) Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap
1 tsp ( 5ml) Glycerin
20 drops Essential Oil
One empty Foaming Soap Dispenser
Measure water in a glass measuring cup. Slowly add the 1/4 cup of castile soap. I recommend that you add the soap to the water rather than adding the water to the soap in order to prevent excessive bubbles. Stir in the glycerin, and the essential oil of your choice. I have chosen peppermint!
My distilled water is chilly from being kept in the fridge, and some condensation is forming on the outside of the measuring cup.
Pour the contents of the measuring cup into your soap dispenser. You can buy foaming soap dispensers online or at your local aromatherapy/soap/candle making supply store, or simply save a dispenser from a purchased product. I buy many of my supplies at Voyageur Soap and Candle Company.

I've been wanting to try some of the soap recipes that I see on pinterest. Where on earth do you find Dr. Bronners? Have you been making any hard soaps?
Dr. Bronner's is available in most health food stores, and natural food stores here in Vancouver. If you have a health food store in your locale they should carry it. If not, they might be able to order it in for you. I haven't tried making bar soaps, but Voyageur has all the supplies needed if I should ever jump on the bandwagon.
