One Moment Please…

Has anyone lost their pink, fuzzy slippers?  If so, fear not.  They’re here, between my ears.  Yes, my brain is addled.  I’ve been knocked out with a virus these last several days.  Just a head cold, but to be fair, it’s a dilly of a head cold.  This would be an ideal time to draw on a witty reserve post, but as I discussed here, I have a grand total of zero posts, witty or otherwise, in reserve.  My intention is  to have my energy and creativity up and running very soon.  And with that, the magical workings of a blog post will follow shortly thereafter.  Until then, please savor a moment with this brilliant Rumi quote.  The photograph is of Mia.  You’ve seen her here.  Mia and Sam are both stellar at meditation…I’ve had ample time to observe them in action.

Before I sign off, I want to express my appreciation for all of your wonderful comments on my gingham dress post!   Otherwise dreary days have been brightened immensely.   I am eager to get behind my machine again, scissors in hand.   Fortunately I have one small wit of good judgement about me.  Now is the time for neither scissors nor machinery.

I can sooooo relate – it's been a bad year for colds and other nasty bugs. I'm not really a tequila nut – I just mention it in my blog a lot – but a shot with salt and lime will help cut the congestion and make you smile (after the initial grimace)!

    Feel better soon, Sue!!!

I hope you are well soon Sue, there is nothing worse than being sick when the weather is nice. Make yourself some hot chicken noodle soup! And drink lemonade, it's also great for cutting the congestion in your throat.

Hopefully you feel better soon and Mia does looks like she is in deep meditation!

Like Val says. I also find that champagne cocktails are great for the upset tummy that comes with all the drainage. Ew. It's the angostura bitters that help. Really. And if champagne gives you a headache, this is an ideal time to drink it because it is likely that there are enough anti-inflammatories in your system to counteract the hangover. See?
Seriously … I'm sending get-well-soon vibes your way, along with the hope you get plenty of rest … go read that book you've wanted to, then take a nap.
    Love to you, sweetie!

Summer colds are the worst. Get well soon, I'm anxious to see what you come up with for your next sewing project. Muah!

Again such a wonderful Rumi sentence! I'll take a book from him with me in my holidays. I think I need time and leisure to enjoy his wisdom.
I hope you do like Mia and indulge yourself to calm and rest. Get well soon and become healthy again!

So sorry that you're sick. May this be a short lived virus! Sometimes being sick brings me back to my life with renewed appreciation for all that God has given me. I hope that's the silver lining for you, too.
