Short, Sweet, and Hopeful…

And now, for my next trick…finding the balance between beauty and bouncing.  Nobody told me blogging would be a balancing act, or a bouncing act for that matter.  Truthfully, nobody told me anything.  I slipped in the back door, and have been making it up as I go ever since.
I love the visual arts, and I have recently been messing about creating some artwork that is a combination of my own photography and random, yet meaningful to me, quotations.  The musings of Rumi are a personal favourite; however, my likes run from Dr. Dyer to Dr. Seuss and everything in between.  I plan to share some of these little gems with you over the coming weeks.  Playing with photography instead of paints is a little like jumping off the end of a pier…I don’t know a thing about aperture or shutter speed, and I often attempt to snap pictures with the lens cover still on.  Having said that, I am having Fun, and I am Willingly learning new skills.  The fact that photography is such a happy little marriage with blogging is like the icing on the cake.   I promise these posts will be short, sweet, and hopeful.  With a little luck my artwork will do all the talkin’.   Now whether or not I can leave well enough alone will remain to be seen.

Lest you worry that you don't have an effect with your blog … I've been MASSIVELY cheered by this post this AM. I'm snowed in (it is SO freaking cold out there)and snowed under. Kills our restaurant business just when we're coming out of a miserable end '12. But your post was a much needed reminder of a lot of positive things that we love about our business, and that the weather WILL turn, and it WILL get better with Spring on its way. In a very uncertain world, there is still much one can rely on. Thank you. So glad I'm getting to know you, Sue.

And one more thing … I'm learning that a lot more people may appreciate your blogging efforts than you might imagine. Not everyone takes the time to comment, or has time even if they want to.
So, not only did you cheer me, I'm pretty sure you cheered a lot more people than you really know.
    Again, just sayin'.

Sue your post cheers me up on this icy cold day! I love your picture and I adore the quote. From time to time I have heart of Rumi and I always think I should read his poems.
    Lieben Gruß

Beautiful flower colour, Sue. We need this picture, what with all the rain we are having lately. I was prepared to read more, lol, but this short but sweet post is perfect for me today.

Sue, thankyou so much for dropping by my blog today and leaving your sweet comments. Much appreciated 🙂 I can't believe I didn't include the fact that I'm Canadian in my “about” section, haha! I've remedied that now and am glad you noticed 🙂 I live about an hour north of Toronto.

I hope you have a great week!
