I dressed for a rainy day.  It stopped raining for the single hour that we were out walking and snapping pics.  Weather can be that way.  The remainder of our day was well spent eating at Big Feast and soaking up some culture both here and at a local artist showing and sale.   Dressing for a rainy day does not have to be boring.  Try adding a little colour, or a lot.

Today I’m linking up with Patti from Not Dead Yet Style  for Visible Monday.

Mary Poppins meets Singing in the Rain. Warm enough for fun and frolicing.

Hi Pam, Thank you so much! I'm going to pop right over to your blog for a quick tour. I love the name!

  • Sue October 14, 2012 at 9:09 pm

Yes, I did feel like I was channeling Mary Poppins a bit! It was fun.

  • Joni October 14, 2012 at 9:11 pm

Great photos! You make walking in the rain look fun with your bright happy colors. 😉

  • Sue October 14, 2012 at 9:29 pm

Thanks Joni! I like to think that the bright colours do indeed make walking in the rain more fun. 🙂

What a cheery Mary Poppins! I have a red raincoat. I'll have to drag it out and see if I can style it anywhere as well as this. The boots are tres cool.

  • Sue October 15, 2012 at 8:42 am

Hi Shirl, Well, as much as we loved our sunny weather, we really did need some rain. Will I still be smiling after weeks of this, we'll see? 🙂

  • Sue October 15, 2012 at 8:46 am

Hello Crazy Raven, (may I call you that?) With such an artsy blog name, I'm certain that you will style your red raincoat amazingly. Thanks for stopping by.

What a wonderful rainy day outfit. Your poses are perfect to illustrate the rainy day outfit. I am a new follower!

  • Sue October 15, 2012 at 4:14 pm

Hi Ariane, Thanks so much for stopping by! Thank you for the compliments. Yes, I am Canadian. I was working so hard on my About Me that I forgot to put in the easy stuff, LOL. I will have to edit that. I live in a suburb of Vancouver. I too, will be photographing indoors soon, unless all my outfit photos are rain coats. Thank you for following. I look forward to following your blog as well. You are colourful and also have the French je ne sais quoi.

  • Sue October 15, 2012 at 4:16 pm

Hi Debbi, Thanks for stopping by, and thanks so much for following along. I truly believe that accessories make the outfit. You can never have too many accessories and fortunately they never really go out of style.

  • Lisa October 15, 2012 at 6:12 pm

You look so bright and cheery in your rainy weather. A reminder that I need a colorful umbrella to replace my dreary black one….and we are in a rainy spell here now and I could definitely use some color to lighten the gloomy skies.
Very nice blog you've got here. I saw you at Visible Monday and am happy to be a follower.

  • Sue October 15, 2012 at 8:57 pm

Hi Lisa, Thank you for stopping by and commenting. And I really appreciate that you have chosen to follow my blog! We have definitely been getting a lot of rain here in Vancouver over the past week. Ah well, one could say we needed it, and it does give me the chance to wear my girly rain boots.
